Erland and the Carnival - Springtime

Erland & The Carnival’s Nightingale was released in the US on March 29th, but the UK band is far from done revealing new (and in this case, 6-legged) nuggets for your enjoyment. Premiered yesterday on VEVO, the band is pleased to disconcert you with the video for their song “Springtime.” Much like the terrifying conclusion of the film Creepshow, we find our hero, Erland Cooper, buried and overcome by roaches. The sunny concept of springtime is countered with a dank, dark, and infested hole, reminding us that, as spring signals the flourishing of things we desire, it also means the permeation of other, more sinister, rebirths.
