Plaintiff in landmark gay rights case dies

John Lawrence, hero of the GLBT community as the plaintiff in the Supreme Court case Lawrence vs. Texas that resulted in anti-sodomy laws being struck down across the country, died last week due to complications from a heart ailment. He was 68.
