Hundreds
of volunteers were dispatched this past weekend to LGBT Pride celebrations in major cities across the country - including Denver - to collect contact
information from supporters of President Barack Obama.
Coordinators said
the volunteers found receptive crowds, perhaps due to the president’s
recent embrace of marriage rights for
same-sex couples.
“I think people are just tremendously grateful,” said
Steve Elmendorf, a
Democratic strategist.
