The
views of Chick-fil-A's president, Dan Cathy, are "repugnant and
backward," according to Washington Blade editor Kevin Naff, but it's
wrong for the gay community to urge government sanction because of those views, he says in a recent editorial.
"Endorsing
government attacks on a business over its president’s views -- however
offensive and wrong -- is reckless and
ignores our community’s long, painful history of being victimized by
government officials," Knaff writes.
