The Santa Fe Arts District's monthly First Friday event is this Friday, September 7 and Jesse Hernandez of Jesse Hernandez Photography will be having his second gallery showing at The Denver School of Photography between 6-9:30 pm.
Hernandez will be showcasing some of his black and white architectural photographs. "My subject for this show is my favorite to photograph, black and white
architecture," says Hernandez. "Capturing the modern styles with the historic styles is
capturing decades of artistic creations juxtaposed in textile, shape and
time. Within the layers of a cityscape, one
can find a story unique to each structure. Who built it, who inhabited
it, what is the view from it? All questions I had and hope are provoked
and piqued for those who view this collection on exhibit this Friday.
Some on display go back several years while
others are from recent visits. This show is primarily New York City,
but I have been known to slip in a little Chi Town or San Francisco"
The Santa Fe Arts District is comprised of over 60 galleries and studios, restaurants and theaters, and all sorts of other cool and interesting spaces and draws hundreds of attendees every month along Santa Fe Drive.
