In the comedy, Eric Dean (Nine Lives, Arizona Sky)
plays Doug, a 40-year-old gay man who finds himself dating two very
different men – 50-year-old Jacob (Michael Nicklin) and 30-year-old
Colton (Benjamin Lutz - Bite Marks, The Love Patient).
What Doug doesn’t learn right away is that the two equally lovable men
are, in fact, father and son. The film also features Mark Cirillo (The Seminarian), Christopher Schram (Requited), Devon Michael Jones and Heidi
Rhodes.
The sixth feature film from Guest House Films, The Men Next Door has
proven to be extremely popular at its initial film festival
screenings. The film won the Audience Award for Best Men’s Feature at
the 2012 North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and was named a
Festival Favorite based on audience balloting and requests at
Philadelphia QFest 2012. Some of the movie’s upcoming screenings
include the Outflix Film Festival in Memphis on Sept. 8; the Pittsburgh
Lesbian and Gay Film Society quarterly screening series on Sept. 23; the
Fort
Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on Oct. 5; and the Tampa
International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on Oct. 6.
