Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado releases Voter Guide

Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado is out today with the online Voter Guide — a voter education tool built by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund in collaboration with Planned Parenthood advocacy organizations across the country. The online Voter Guide has been optimized for both desktop computers and mobile devices, so voters in Colorado can take information and ratings on where candidates—up and down ballot—stand on issues of importance to women and women’s health right into the voter booth.

The Voter Guide allows users to find their candidates by entering their zip code or state. The tool then pulls up data on federal candidates and any relevant candidates in Colorado that PPVC is tracking as part of its political program. The candidate scores presented are based on votes on key legislation related to women and women’s health, public statements and/or candidate questionnaire(s).

“The online Voter Guide will help voters in Colorado make informed decisions at the polls about which candidates to vote for based on where they stand on pivotal health care issues,” said Cathy Alderman, vice president of public affairs, PPVC. “The online Voter Guide is part of PPVC’s ongoing work to elect pro-women’s health candidates in Colorado and to hold anti-women’s health candidates of either party accountable. Colorado voters have the right to know which candidates will stand up and support the issues they care about.”
