PFLAG founder honored at White House ceremony

Jeanne Manford, the late founder of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, was honored Friday by President Barack Obama, who awarded her and 17 others the Presidential Citizen Medal. 

"She inspired a movement and gave rise to a national organization that has given so much support to parents and families and friends, and helped to change this country," Obama said.
