Says Deschanel about directing, “After 7 years and 4 albums with She & Him, I figured it was about time I took a crack at making a video for a song I wrote. The process was so much fun, and gave me a chance to give a nod to some of my favorite 60’s musicals.”

She & Him Debut "I Could've Been Your Girl" Video, Marks Zooey Deschanel’s Directorial Debut
She & Him (aka Zooey Deschanel's band) premiered the video for their newest song, “I Could’ve Been Your Girl" today and the video marks the first time the band’s singer/songwriter Zooey Deschanel has
stepped behind the camera to direct; the result is an amalgamation of
everything that makes She & Him so damn charming --- an incredible
chorus, choreography by fellow HelloGiggles founder Sophia Rossi, vintage dresses, M. Ward’s genius guitar playing, and a whole lot of fun.
