Ore. county to require gender-neutral restrooms

At the request of transgender county employees, Multnomah County, Ore., Board Chairman Jeff Cogen recently signed an executive order mandating gender-neutral bathroom options in all county buildings.

The change is expected to benefit the transgender community, the disabled, nursing mothers and parents in search of private diaper-changing facilities.
