Former
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said recently
that his party's 2016 presidential nominee will "probably" support marriage equality. In an interview on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher,"
Steele said that the candidate probably wouldn't reveal his or her
position before winning the party nomination.
"I think that issue is
going to be one that will actually be a sleeper in the Republican
primary because it's going to be an undercurrent because there are a lot
of young Republicans especially who have been pushing ... the party on
this issue," Steele said.
