Kerry speaks with Ugandan president to rebuke anti-LGBT law


International leaders meet in Paris to diffuse... by reuters Secretary of State John Kerry criticized a recently signed anti-LGBT law in Uganda during a phone call last week with the country's president, Yoweri Museveni. Kerry reiterated U.S. opposition to the law and discussed its possible impact on foreign aid and investment in Uganda. 

"We have deep concerns about the law posing a threat to the safety and security of the LGBT community, but also the safety and protection of all Ugandan citizens," State Department official Uzra Zeya said.
