Green Party State Co-chair Withdraws Gubernatorial Run

Green Party of Colorado's (GPCO) Bill Bartlett, was nominated as a gubernatorial candidate for the party, along with Harry Hempy. Party leaders and those in the activism community sent out their support to have Bartlett run a campaign that would focus the debate on cannabis rights, environmental planning, and challenges facing the working class.

“[I received] a ton of support from many parts of the country, including friends and family. With that support came a lot of professional advice about my candidacy and my long-term goals.” said Bartlett “That wisdom has helped me to make a difficult decision. I have officially withdrawn my nomination for Governor of Colorado.” This decision makes Harry Hempy official gubernatorial candidate for the GPCO. Despite Bartlett’s withdrawal he did leave a message for Colorado voters. “Green Party leadership is strong right now, and our local chapters are seeing increased participation from their communities.
