The Colorado Anti-Violence Program is launching a "Community-based responses to Interpersonal Violence" workgroup and we are looking for folks in the community who might be interested in joining this group.
We know that our communities have been carrying out creative responses to end violence for many generations. When faced with someone in need of help, our community members have been figuring out ways to address, reduce, end or prevent violence. This workgroup is an effort to build on what is already happening and working in our communities.
The workgroup organizers are holding an introductory discussion on Tuesday, November 18th, 6p-8p, to talk about this effort, including goals, toolkits/resources already in use that we can adopt, and just generally kick off this group.
