Supreme Court asked to hear La. marriage case

Same-sex couples challenging the constitutionality of Louisiana's marriage ban filed a request last Thursday for the Supreme Court to take up their case. The request is the fifth involving marriage rights to be filed in the past two weeks. The case is scheduled to be heard by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in January.
