Casting Call: Five Young Men Wanted for Non-Singing Supernumeraries Roles in 'The Magic Flute'

Opera Colorado seeks five young men with movement/dance training to join our spring 2015 production of The Magic Flute. This exciting new production features supernumeraries (supers) who will be in costume as the Four Elements. The Elements will interact with the principal singers, transforming the world of the opera through physicality, directed stage action, and the manipulation of scenic elements.

Opera Colorado is looking for four individuals to play the parts of the Four Elements, as well as one additional person to act as a Cover. While Opera Colorado is not able to offer payment to supers for participation, each super will receive:

- Two (2) tickets to the Magic Flute Final Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, April 30

- Two (2) tickets to be used for any Magic Flute evening performance

- Parking passes for the DPAC garage for all days in which you are called to rehearse or perform.

Rehearsals begin on Saturday, April 11, 2015 and the final performance is Sunday, May 10.

All rehearsals and performances take place at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in downtown Denver.
