U.K. seeks equality for same-sex couples abroad

The British government last week asked authorities in more than 70 countries, including the U.S., to clarify the rights of married same-sex couples while traveling or living abroad. 

The request was submitted by Equalities Minister Jo Swinson (pictured), who cited legal gray areas for LGBT couples abroad.
