Labor Day Message to Congress: Honor our nation’s workers with action

This Labor Day weekend, the National LGBTQ Task Force is calling on Congress to take more actions that will help our nation’s workers.

“Congress must do more to provide workers with the tools they need to provide economic security for them and their families. We need a living wage, not a minimum wage that’s impossible to live on. We need paid leave for all, not unpaid leave for the most vulnerable workers. We need equal pay for women, not higher pay for men doing the same job. Tell your members of Congress to honor Labor Day by advancing legislation that will fully support the hardworking people of this nation that they were sent to Washington, DC to represent," said Stacey Long Simmons, Director of Public Policy & Government Affairs, National LGBTQ Task Force.
