It's Not A Trap! Denver Gets Early Look at Amazing Star Wars Exhibition

The Denver Art Museum (DAM) and VISIT DENVER have launched www.PowerOfCostumeDenver.com, a microsite offering an array of exclusive hotel packages that feature VIP skip-the-line tickets to the DAM’s exhibition Star Wars and the Power of Costume. On view Nov. 13 through April 2, 2017, the exhibition will feature more than 70 hand-crafted costumes from the first seven blockbuster Star Wars films, along with 100 additional pieces, many of which have never been seen, sourced directly from George Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch.

The exhibition will closely examine the captivating process of the conception and design of the iconic costumes, from Queen Amidala’s Throne Room Gown to Darth Vader’s imposing black uniform, giving visitors a look into the fantasy, marvel and delight of bringing Star Wars characters to life.

“Denver is one of the first cities to host this exhibition, and with fans of Star Wars spanning generations, we anticipate that it will be a huge draw for residents and out of town visitors alike,” says Richard Scharf, president and CEO of VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The Mile High City and DAM are known for creating and hosting world-class exhibitions and cultural experiences, and VISIT DENVER is thrilled to partner with DAM on this coveted exhibition. In addition, there will be creative hotel packages that include VIP tickets that allow people to skip the lines and see the exhibition on their schedule.”
