“Dine Out and Do Good” with Project Angel Heart’s Dining Out For Life on April 26th

Project Angel Heart announces Thursday, April 26th, as the date for the 24th annual Dining Out For Life, presented by US Foods, in Denver and Boulder. Participating restaurants will donate 25 percent of sales to support Project Angel Heart, a Colorado-based organization that prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, and other life-threatening illnesses.

While Dining Out For Life is an international event taking place in 60+ cities, Project Angel Heart is proud to host the largest event internationally, with 40 percent more restaurants and 25 percent more dollars raised than any other market. With more than 230 local restaurants and breweries, 80,000+ diners and 200+ volunteers involved, it’s easy to dine out and do good at your favorite neighborhood eatery.

Over the past 23 years, Dining Out For Life has raised more than $5.5 million to help Project Angel Heart prepare and deliver nutritious, medically tailored meals specifically for clients living with HIV/AIDS. The organization also provides meals for thousands of people living with cancer, end-stage renal disease, COPD and other life-threatening illnesses.

This year’s list of participating restaurants includes more than 200 returning restaurants and at least 25 new restaurants, including notable newcomers The Bindery, Brider Rotisserie and Kitchen, Burger Theory, Cake Crumbs Bakery, Cap City Tavern, El Five, FIRE at the ART, a hotel, Fish N Beer, Hana Matsuri Sushi, Jack Rabbit Slims, Kaos Pizzeria and MAS KAOS Pizzeria & Taqueria. While all participants will donate 25 percent of food sales on the date of the event, nearly 30 percent will also donate a percentage of bar sales.

“Dining Out For Life is our largest annual fundraising event and we’re always humbled by the outpouring of support we receive from the community on this day, and throughout the year,” said Erin Pulling, president and CEO of Project Angel Heart. “We’d love to make this our most successful event to date, so we are asking our supporters to find their favorite participating neighborhood restaurant and to come hungry, knowing that, just by eating out, they will be making a true difference for people living with HIV/AIDS in Colorado.”

In appreciation for supporting the event and Project Angel Heart, guests will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win a $2,500 gift card from local event partner King Soopers. A host of sponsors support Dining Out For Life, including: US Foods, Subaru of America, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Bargreen Ellingson, and Alberta Development Partners.
