Elliott, a 13-year-old cattle dog mix, will grace the cover of the calendar, capturing the most votes with 1,578.
The other dogs and cats to be featured on one of the 12 calendar months include Kermit, Rocky Carlos, Birdie, Cali, Michael, Frankie, Agave, Smokey, Bandit, Henry Tudor, Anna, and Iggy. The 13 animals will now be treated to a professional photoshoot by our sponsor Gaelle Pet Photography.

DAS thanks everyone who took part in the contest, and even if your pet didn't win or you didn't participate, you can still support animal welfare in Denver by purchasing a calendar. They make a great office gift or a stocking stuffer, and every purchase helps DAS continue to make a difference to Denver's unwanted, homeless animals. The contest helped the DAS reach their goal of $10,000 to care for pets in need.
