One Colorado: Restore the Revisions

In 2019, a new law called House Bill 19-1192 was passed in Colorado that requires Social Studies Classes in K-12 classrooms in the state include the histories and contributions of people of color and LGBTQ+ communities. In November of 2021, the revised standards were presented to the State Board of Education.

In 2022, the revised standards came under attack by the same groups that oppose “CRT”, and are targeting LGBTQ+ people. As a result, most mentions of people of color and LGBTQ+ people have been stripped from the standards.

It is time to speak up to #RestoreTheRevisions before the State Board of Education takes a final vote! Let’s ensure Colorado students learn an honest, and diverse history!
