Stonewall Day Unplugged Returns to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Activism and Pride

Pride Live is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of Stonewall Day Unplugged on Wednesday, May 31. This special event, taking place at Edge at Hudson Yards in New York City, will be livestreamed by Google, Pride Live's streaming partner. Stonewall Day Unplugged promises an unforgettable experience featuring captivating performances, intimate conversations, and a celebration of LGBTQ+ activism.

At the heart of the event will be a headline performance by pop singer and Eurovision winner Netta, who will grace the stage with her incredible talent and infectious energy. Alongside the electrifying musical performances, Stonewall Day Unplugged will feature thought-provoking sit-down conversations with influential members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Originally conceptualized as a virtual series during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stonewall Day Unplugged has played a vital role in promoting the legacy of the Stonewall Rebellion and raising awareness for LGBTQ+ activism. Past participants have included renowned artists and activists such as Adam Lambert, Conchita, Karine Jean-Pierre, Geena Rocero, and Keiynan Lonsdale.

This year, Pride Live is honored to host the event with the generous support of Edge and Hudson Yards. In an exciting development, Pride Live has also established a two-year partnership with Related Companies, making Hudson Yards the home of Stonewall Day for 2023 and 2024. This expanded venue will allow for a larger audience, ensuring that people of all generations can come together to continue the legacy of Stonewall.

During the one-hour event, Stonewall Day Unplugged will be moderated by prominent LGBTQ+ community members, who will shine a spotlight on marginalized and underrepresented individuals, organizations, and important topics. The event will also showcase emerging LGBTQ+ artists and performers, providing a platform for their talent to shine.
