OUT on DVD: Last Summer

Breaking Glass Pictures will be releasing the drama Last Summer on DVD and VOD (iTunes, Amazon Instant) on December 2, 2014. Last Summer was directed by Mark Thiedeman and stars Samuel Pettit as Luke and Sean Rose as Jonah.

Last Summer tells the story of two high school sweethearts, Luke and Jonah, who spend their final months together over the course of a long, quiet summer in the rural South, contemplating their uncertain future and the uncertain future of America. Jonah, sensitive, quiet and artistic, prepares to leave his small town for college, leaving Luke behind, but all he wants is for Luke to ask him to stay. But Luke, an athlete struggling through summer school, knows that his boyfriend needs to experience the world beyond their home. Though he is somewhat aimless and unsure of his place in the world, he begins to find solace in an old camera that he finds in an antique store. Last Summer positions their love story against a world of baseball fields, bicycles, church, and seemingly conservative values, though the boys never face adversity from their community; instead, they fit directly into the fabric of their all-American town.

OUT on DVD: I Am Happiness on Earth

Breaking Glass Pictures will be releasing the LGBT Mexican drama I Am Happiness on Earth (Yo Soy La Felicidad De Este Mundo) on DVD and VOD (All cable providers, iTunes, Amazon Instant) August 19, 2014.

Emiliano looks at his life with the eyes of a film director, mixing the objective reality with the processes of artistic creation. The story he is filming flounders with his daily life, until his world is trapped in the lens of his camera. Confused, always alone and in front of a screen, now a transfigured reality, but at the same time a measurable, controllable and manipulable one. He listens to a song on a loop: one of those songs you sing or repeat as a prayer and forcing you to remember, believe and convince yourself.

OUT on DVD: Modern Family the Complete Fourth Season - Top 10 Phil-isms

As cute as he is clueless, Phil Dunphy brings the laughs with every episode of Modern Family. An entire book could probably be created just from the hilarious things he says (oh wait, there’s that fantastic Phil’s-osophy book). Take a look below at the Top 10 Phil-isms.

1. “Always keep the rhythm in your feet and a little party in your shoulders.”

2. “When life gives you lemonade, make lemons. Life will be all like ‘Whaaat?!’”

3. “If you love something, set it free… unless it’s a tiger.”

4. “I always felt bad for people with emotionally distant fathers; it turns out I’m one of them. It’s a miracle I didn’t end up a stripper.”

5. “I’ve always said that if my son thinks of me as one of his idiot friends, I’ve succeeded as a dad.”

6. “The most amazing things that can happen to a human being will happen to you, if you just lower your expectations”

7. “Claire likes to say ‘you can be part of the problem or part of the solution.’ But, I happen to believe you can be both.”

8. “I am brave. Roller coasters? Love 'em. Scary movies? I've seen Ghostbusters like 7 times. I regularly drive through neighborhoods that have only recently been gentrified. So yeah I am pretty much not afraid of anything.”

9. “Always look people in the eye, even if they’re blind. Just say ‘I’m looking you in the eye.’”

10. “A Realtor's just a ninja in a blazer. The average burglar breaks in and leaves clues everywhere. But not me. I'm completely clueless.”

Modern Family: Season 4 will arrive in stores September 17,  courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
