Hike for the Environment this Saturday

Join the Gay and Lesbian Sierrans for the Sierra Club Rocky Mountain Chapter's Wild Step: Hike for the Environment on Saturday, Sept 19. This fundraising event will take place at Foothills Community Park in Boulder. All proceeds will fund community programs to promote clean air, clean water, and clean energy in Colorado. A choice of trails is available ranging from 2 to 5 miles that meander through grassy meadows with views of Wonderland Lake and the Front Range foothills. There will be live music after the hike, free food, beer, and games for kids and adults. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers and greenest costumes. We'll award prizes for top fund raiser and greenest costumes.

This is a great opportunity to support the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Gay and Lesbian Sierrans. Registration is $25 per person, and each hiker is encouraged to raise an additional $100 from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. You can join the GLS team by contacting Bill at wilroe@mindspring.com or register on-line at rmc.sierraclub.org/hike (click on "Join a Team" and enter "GLS" after Team Name).
