The USA may have lost the 2018 and 2022 Bid for the World Cup but,
right here in Denver, there is a group of athletes trying to bring another international sports event home to Colorado.
Team Colorado, a 501c3 non-profit umbrella sports organization for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community, has formed the "Denver OutGames 2015 Bid Committee" to lead Denver's efforts.
"The LGBT community contributes greatly to the social, economic and political quality of life in Colorado. We are excited to support Denver’s bid for the 2015 North America OutGames" states Colorado Governor-elect / Denver Mayor John W. Hickenlooper.
Monday December 6
th, 2010, there will be the first Community Wide Meeting to bring together the best ideas for bidding on the GLISA (Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association) North American OutGames, which will take place in 2015.
The event is free and open to the public.
