Exxon won't recognize same-sex married couples

Exxon Mobil, the energy giant under fire from LGBT activists who charged the company with anti-gay employment bias last week, has refused to recognize the same-sex spouses of gay employees, writes James B. Stewart

The company says it isn't bound by state marriage laws and that federal recognition of those unions is forbidden under the Defense of Marriage Act.
