BCAP Asks For Your Support This Tuesday, Colorado Gives Day

From BCAP:

When a person tests positive for HIV at BCAP, they are linked directly to our medical case management team. Here they receive personalized care to address their treatment and basic needs in order to achieve long-term stable health and reduce transmission of HIV to others. As BCAP provides these services, we must protect our client’s personal health data.

BCAP feels a responsibility to be frugal, and therefore, our computers are over 7 years old. Unfortunately, Microsoft will stop supporting the operating system this coming Spring. These computers are too old to effectively run the latest operating systems, and will become non-compliant with HIPAA. Therefore, we have an urgent and mandatory need to protect our client’s personal health data by replacing our computer systems.

To do this, we need your help. On December 10th, we must raise $20,000 on Colorado Gives Day to replace our computers, server and software in order to continue to provide critical basic needs to people living with HIV in our community.

BCAP can only continue its services with the support of the community. If you believe in the services that the Boulder County AIDS Project provides, please consider supporting BCAP on Colorado Gives Day, December 10th. You can also pre-schedule your donation today by clicking here.

Thank you for being a part of this vital organization.
