Experience the Beautiful Butterflies at Chatfield
Butterfly Pavilion and Denver Botanic Gardens present a unique seasonal habitat experience called Butterflies at Chatfield. This showcase
of at native Colorado butterflies at Denver Botanic Gardens at
Chatfield includes the monarch, painted lady, passion butterfly, queen,
pipevine swallowtail, viceroy and red admiral. Species vary on any given
day and new chrysalides arrive each week, emerging in front of the
public in a custom chrysalis chamber. The 1,500 square foot structure
features a garden with more than 50 indigenous Colorado plant species
that serve as a habitat for the butterflies. The seasonal exhibit is on
view May 29 – late September 2015 and is open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
