The awards are open to anyone, including non-members and journalists who do not identify as LGBTQ. Entries submitted between now and March 4 may include an additional $40 processing fee unless noted otherwise.
NLGJA’s Excellence in Journalism Awards are presented each year at NLGJA's National Convention. The awards are presented for work that was produced between January 1 and December 31, 2018. Awards will be presented in over 35 categories, including Excellence in Food Writing, Excellence in Transgender Coverage and Journalist of the Year.
