The Center is giving Denver something we can feel for PrideFest 2010.
I just got back from a Media Advisory Board meeting where it was announced that the original funky divas - En Vogue - will be headlining the Main Stage/Ultimate Event series at Denver PrideFest 2010 in Civic Center Park on Sunday, June 20 at 3 p.m.
"When En Vogue takes the stage on June 20, the energy will reverberate throughout Civic Center Park," said DeMarcio Slaughter, Denver PrideFest Main Stage Entertainment Coordinator. "En Vogue shows that we are continually raising the bar on the entertainment lineup for PrideFest."
The Center also announced that Fred Schneider of the B-52s will be the headlining DJ on Saturday, June 19 at the DJ Stage.
The Center introduced the Ultimate Event series for PrideFest four years ago. Previous artists include CeCe Peniston, Martha Wash, Sophie B. Hawkins and Deborah Gibson.

Music you may have missed: The B-52s - Funplex
Welcome to Funplex, the first record of the 21st century from The B-52s.
“It’s loud, sexy rock and roll, with the beat pumped up to hot pink,” says guitarist Keith Strickland. And anybody who was lucky enough to catch them at Red Rocks for this year’s True Colors Tour with Cyndi Lauper knows that it’s true.
“Funplex sounds like us, updated,” adds Fred Schneider. “It’s The B-52s now – or fifteen years from now.”
Fun fact: All of the main members of The B-52s are gay or lesbian except for Cindy.

True Colors Tour pics
My good friends Brian and David not only had some sweet seats for the True Colors Tour on Saturday but they got to attend a special Meet 'n Greet with none other than Cyndi Lauper herself before the concert began. Lucky dogs!
Below are some of the pics they took and here is a link to the rest.

True Colors Tour: The B-52s - Rock Lobster
This is the video that made Cindy Wilson my favorite 'B'. Just look at that sweaty, disheveled wig. She's puttin' in work!
Catch The B-52s and Cyndi Lauper this Saturday at Red Rocks for the True Colors Tour 2008.
