Vintage Theatre Productions Announces Location of New Home

Vintage Theatre Productions is pleased to announce the location of its new home beginning in April.  Vintage will occupy the Dayton Street Theatre located at 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora which will be renamed Vintage Theatre.

Executive Producer Debbie Laureta says, "This is an extremely exciting move for us in our 10th Anniversary season. Our new theatre affords us more seating capacity and the room to have a second performance space. This will allow us to keep the intimacy of our current space and provide many more opportunities for future productions."

Vintage Theatre Productions will offer its first production in the new space on April 27.  Vintage will present  its production of "The Joy Luck Club" by Susan Kim Adapted from the novel by Amy Tan and directed by Craig A Bond.

“Six Degrees of Separation” opens tonight, March 2, as the final show on the 17th Avenue stage and runs through April 1.  This is the story of a con artist from the streets who has been pulling the wool over the eyes of two art dealers and their wealthy friends — and the serious consequences it brings.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($20 advance) on Fridays and Saturdays; $21 ($18 advance) on Sundays. Tickets are available by calling 303-839-1361 or online at www.vintagetheatre.com at Vintage Theatre, 2119 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO 80206.

Are The Cliks breaking up?

A week ago Tuesday, founder and lead singer of The Cliks, Lucas Sliveira posted an announcement on the band's MySpace blog that The Cliks' drummer (Morgan Doctor) and bassist (Jen Benton) were leaving the band.

Andy at Penetration followed-up with a quick, frank and exclusive interview with Lucas about what went down, his feelings about the change and the future of The Cliks.

I'd hate it if this means no more music from The Cliks. They're definitely one of my favorite bands of the last few years. Check out video below of their recent Denver appearance at the Bluebird Theater.
