The Center issues statement on the resignation of Dobson from Focus on the Family

The Center has issued the following statement on the surprise resignation of Focus on the Family's founder James Dobson from the organization:

“I hope that the new leadership at Focus on the Family is sensitive to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and receptive to opening the channels of communication to create a better Colorado for all.” - Carlos Martinez, Executive Director of The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado.

Behind the scenes of 'Studio 12'

Here's a pic of Phil Nash, Tamara Banks, Carlos Martinez and me on the set of 'Studio 12' which aired live tonight (June 25) and which was devoted to PrideFest and Colorado's ever-changing GLBT community.

I couldn't have asked for a better host than Ms. Banks. She is an amazing journalist and a truly lovely woman. I can't wait to see her upcoming documentary on the Sudan and hear her new podcast.

And it was great to meet both Phil and, new executive director of The Center, Carlos in person for the very first time.

The vast majority of the folks who called in to comment were very supportive and positive and, all-in-all, it was a great show.
