Create Denver is looking for workshop presenters and exhibitors for the upcoming 2012 Create Denver Expo, Saturday, May 12, 10am-4pm at the Colorado Convention Center.
The
Expo is a day-long event that provides creative individuals and
business owners a one-stop opportunity to learn of various business
services and programs that can help stabilize their creative enterprises
and plan for the future. Workshops are led by experts in the fields of
marketing, business planning, finance, media relations, legal issues, as
well as business support in music, film, public art, fine art and more.

DOCA Presents 6th Annual Create Denver Expo
On Saturday, May 14, the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) will present its 6th annual Create Denver Expo. The program will be held at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Webb Building will be open for registration at 9:00 a.m. with welcoming remarks at 9:30 by Kent Rice, Director of Arts & Venues Denver. The Expo is a program of Create Denver Week, May 12 – 15.
The Expo is a day-long event that provides creative individuals and business owners a “one-stop” opportunity to learn of various small business services and programs that can help stabilize their creative enterprise and plan for the future.
Registration for the Create Denver Expo and other events and programs associated with Create Denver Week is available online at http://bit.ly/CDWeekExpoRSVP. Registration is $5 (with lunch option from Mad Greens) and allows for access to an unlimited number of workshops. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, as capacity is limited. Those wishing to visit only the exhibition hall need not register. Advance registration closes May 11. Registration will also be available at the door on the day of the program (cash only). Call for Submissions: Create Denver Expo
The Create Denver Expo is an event during Create Denver Week, May 12-15, 2011. DOCA seeks organizations, associations and individuals to submit their programming ideas for workshops, panels, and exhibiting at the Create Denver Expo by Monday, January 31. To present a workshop or host a booth, complete the online form at http://bit.ly/CDExpo2011. There is no fee to exhibit or present at the Expo.
The Expo is a day-long program that provides creative individuals and businesses that have limited resources of time, money and capacity a "one-stop" opportunity to learn about the various City, non-profit and for-profit resources available to help grow and stabilize creative businesses. The Expo offers workshops led by experts in the fields of public art, marketing, personal and business finance, media relations, music and film production, zoning and more. Local service organizations, trade associations and other providers are invited to host a trade booth in the atrium of the Webb Building, promoting their services to the creative community.

Things to do in Denver when you're gay: Create Denver Expo

Help create the Create Denver Expo
The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) invites individuals, organizations and associations to submit happenings, workshops, lectures and other programming ideas for Create Denver Week, a new project, which kicks off with the fifth annual Create Denver Expo on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building.
DOCA seeks exhibitors and workshop presenters for the Expo, offering Denver’s creative community a “one-stop” opportunity to learn about the various City, nonprofit and commercial resources available to help grow and stabilize creative businesses. The Expo attracts approximately 400 attendees, representing a wide array of artists and creative businesses.
The 2010 Expo will include approximately 30 exhibitors and more than 20 workshops and panel discussions. Consultants, affinity organizations and experts in creative industries who are interested in having a presence at the Expo may learn more and submit proposals at www.DenverGov.org/CreateDenver.
The deadline for submission of a proposal is Friday, January 29, 2010.
