Jamaican-American singer, actress, and model Grace Jones has announced that she will be returning to her hometown for an exclusive one night engagement at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on October 27th.
The show concept, which was created by couture UK milliner
Philip Treacy, will be a spectacular union of fashion and rock. She has
15 wardrobe changes, including clothing by designers Issey Miyake, Jean
Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen, while performing the songs that
made her an international icon.
Grace Jones, an unforgettable personality that emerged from the decadent night club, Studio 54 disco scene during the late 1970’s is now a renowned recording artist, fashion icon, and international provocateur. Beginning in the 1980’s Grace Jones shifted her focus from the club scene to new wave and experimental-based work, releasing two of her most well-known albums to date, Warm Leatherette and Nightclubbing. Throughout the decades, Grace Jones has demonstrated her adaptability and progressive creativity, solidifying her position as an enduring musical influence for all genres.
