We congratulate Governor Ritter, Representative Mark Ferrandino, Senator Jennifer Veiga, Equal Rights Colorado, and the many activists, including HRC members, who took action to support this legislation.”

Hurray! Beneficiary bill passes Senate

A big shout-out to the two Republicans--Al White of Hayden and Ken Kester of Las Animas--who voted with all the Democrats in Colorado's Senate to pass HB 1260, a bill originally introduced into the House by Mark Ferrandino that allows same-sex couples and other adults to provide various rights to partners or other significant adults in their life. It just makes sense. As for Sen. Kevin Lundberg, who is constantly whining about anything having to do with same-sex rights, let it go. The tide is not moving in your favor.
