Jennifer Lopez to Receive GLAAD Vanguard Award

Jennifer Lopez is going to be getting the GLAAD Vanguard Award at the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards next month. According to the GLAAD blog, Lopez is getting the award for her efforts in increasing visibility and understanding for the LGBT community.

I hadn't really been aware of anything she'd done for the community but GLAAD points out that she is a supporter of marriage equality and an executive producer of a television show featuring a lesbian couple. Good for her!
