CHARLI XCX Drops New Track 'BABY'

Today, Charli XCX drops her brand new track, ‘Baby’, accompanied by an awe-inspiring video, directed by Imogene Strauss and Luke Orlando. 'Baby' is one of the first songs Charli wrote for this album, and has been noted as one of the pop sensation's personal favorites on the tracklist.

‘Baby’ is a tale of possession and self-assuredness, perfectly summarizing the thought and attitude behind the record. The video comes in to illustrate Charli’s desires with an incredible routine, choreographed by Charli’s close collaborator Nathan Kim. Of the song Charli confesses, “The track is about great sex.". 'Baby' will debut on Zane Lowe’s New Music Daily, with its debut 
performance on SNL to follow.

Charli’s highly-anticipated forthcoming album, CRASH, will be released on 18th March and is the fifth and final album in her record deal. Charli kicks off her 21-date North American Tour in Los Angeles on 26th March and comes to Denver's Ogden Theatre on April 6.

Ani DiFranco returns to Colorado

Ani DiFranco has established herself as one of the most influential and inspirational artists of her generation. Now, Ani returns to Colorado – bringing her electrifying live performance to select stages: at Armstrong Hall, Colorado College in Colorado Springs (presented by Maven Productions and KRCC FM) on Tuesday, April 20 and at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Thursday, April 22 (presented by KBCO FM and Maven). 

Slam Poet World Champion, and Righteous Babe Records label-mate Buddy Wakefield (left) will open both shows.

Ice Cube in Denver

The Ogden Theatre is my new favorite concert venue all of a sudden. I already posted that they've got the lovely and talented Julieta Venegas tomorrow and then a month later they've got the one and only Ice Cube. September 7 - that will be a good day:

Julieta Venegas in Denver

I was driving down Colfax last night when I saw the sign that Julieta Venegas will be in Denver tomorrow night at The Ogden Theatre. Best to believe I'm going to be there! Her song 'Lento' gets heavy play on my iPod, especially in the summertime. It's just so joyful and full of life. Enjoy the video below:

And, thanks to the magic of Wikipedia, I just found out she's a Long Beach girl, whoo-hoo! We probably went to school together. She could have joined my gang with Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. We were feared throughout the land.
