Was anybody else's high school locker room like this?
The 'Never Been Kissed' episode of 'Glee' featuring Kurt's first-ever gay kiss reminded me very much of my senior year at Sterling High School. And the guy playing the hostile, closeted perpetrator of the kiss looks like pretty much every guy I ever made out with back then. Sterling guys are cornfed, I'll tell ya. Anybody else ever enjoy same sex lip locks in the locker room of their high school or was it just me and Kurt?

Donny Osmond: A little bit rock 'n roll and a little bit homophobic
Mormon Donny Osmond says, "Some of my best friends are gay."
But he still supports Prop. 8.
He's a soldier of straight love.
I was in high school in Sterling, CO when this piece of crap came out and I would hang out all the time at my boyfriend's record store. My boyfriend owned the town record store, mobile DJ service, and the all-ages nightclub. It was cool because the club's DJ had standing orders to stop whatever he was playing and put on LL Cool J's 'Mama Said Knock You Out' anytime I came into the place.
I used to get into lots of fist fights.
My boyfriend looked just like The Nelsons - more horrible music-makers from 1989 - except, instead of long beautiful hair like The Nelsons, he had a mullet that was permed in the back.
It was a hot look for Sterling, CO in 1989.
Anyway, I remember seeing the listings for a new Donny Osmond record and thinking, "Really? Somebody gave Donny Osmond a record deal?"
And that's the story of Donny Osmond's 'Soldier of Love' and my boyfriend's permed mullet.
