Friday Videos: Otep, Silverchair, Juliette & The Licks

Otep covers Nirvanna!
The boys from Silverchair are now fully grown men. Here's something off their new CD, Young Modern.
Remember when she was on The Facts of Life? Or when she dated Brad Pitt when she was like 15? Juliette Lewis is so hot. She's bringing her band to town at the Marquis Theatre on November 20.I'm wearing the exact same outfit as her right now.

ANTM: The Enrique Iglesias Video Episode

On last nights episode, Tyra taugh the girls got to make a music video with Enrique Iglesias (muy caliente) and one lucky girl was choses to have a featured part. Except it turns out the director liked two girls, Lisa (left) and Heather (right) (my personal picks for final two) and the rest of the girls were aten up by jealousy. Yes I wrote 'aten up'. The end result was pretty hot. See it here.

Friday Videos: Totally radical 1980s movie music

'Be Alone Tonight' from School Daze

It starts off slow but gets hot about a minute in. I've loved Tisha Campbell since Rags to Riches.

'Top That' from Teen Witch

Best rap battle ever!

'Cuz I'm a Blonde' from Earth Girls are Easy

Julie Brown embodies the '80s.

Unicorn Planet

It's almost impossible to believe but it's recently come to my attention that there are still some gay folk out there who haven’t seen Unicorn Planet. This I cannot allow. It’s a planet full of unicorns. Unicorn Planet, heyyy!

Gruesome Twosome at Starz

You know the drill. Every Halloween you're craving horror films. You run to the video store and find the horror section completely picked over and of what remains you've seen so many times that the scary's been sucked right out of it. You race online to see what's playing in the theaters. That remake of 'Halloween' came out...in August and really ... it was a remake. Then you see a glimmer of hope. The Starz FilmCenter has a Horrific Double feature, a Gruesome Twosome if you will, of two BRAND NEW films destined to become Halloween classics, 'Murder Party' and 'Blood Car'.

Both films will be presented back to back with some great horror film trailers sandwiched inbetween (and a peek at the upcoming midnight series at the 30th Starz Denver Film Festival - THE WATCHING HOUR). It's the perfect event for Halloween don't miss your chance to be a part of it!
Best of all, you can see both films for only $10! See the Gruesome Twosome on Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31 starting at 7:30 p.m.

Kids Incorporated sing 'He Could be the One' by Josie Cotton

In honor of Josie Cotton's new single here's a video clip of Fergie, Mario Lopez and Martika covering her hit song He Could be the One on Kids Incorporated. It's all been downhill for Fergie since then.

America's Next Top Model News: Lisa D'Amato

My two favorite TV shows are, in no particular order, America's Next Top Model and The Ultimate Fighter. Both of 'em have brand, spankin' new episodes tonight so here's some ANTM news to whet your appetite for tonight's show. ANTM airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. with repeats Sunday at 8 p.m. on The CW.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 contestant Lisa D’Amato seems to be hoping to start up a music career with her new song/video Ace of Spades. Lisa was one of the best contestants ANTM has ever seen and one of the few girls the show has ever had that actually knew how to model. That said, hopefully Lisa sticks to her day job as a model because she looks better and sings worse than about 99% of the rest of the population. To paraphrase A Chorus Line, Looks: 10/Voice: 1.

Create A National Coming Out Day Video

National Coming Out Day 2007, October 11, coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Lesbian & Gay March on Washington and the unfurling of the Names Project AIDS Quilt on the National Mall.

As the AIDS Quilt told the story of a generation, this year for National Coming Out Day, HRC would like to create a patchwork of stories from you.

Watch HRC’s National Coming Out Day video on You Tube. Then, make your own video response about what inspires you about coming out and living openly. Maybe it’s the people in your life that you know personally who have come out. Maybe it’s something that inspired you to make the leap yourself. Whatever it is, HRC wants to hear from you.

Videos do not need to be fancy, just heartfelt and honest. Videos with profane or inappropriate content will not be granted approval.
Once you have shot your video – either on a camcorder, your computer camera, a digital camera, or even your phone, follow these simple steps:

1. Click beneath the video on You Tube on the "post video response" link
2. You will be either asked to set up a You Tube account password, or you will be prompted to set up a You Tube account.
3. Once you have completed those steps, you will receive an email from You Tube with easy to follow instructions for posting your video response.
