Celia's closet

"Old" and "ugly" America's Next Top Model contestant Celia is featured in the New York Post and even has a little video action to go along with it. Celia's awesome. One of my all-time favorite ANTM girls. She might even be number two right after Jade.

Rich from FourFour + Celia from ANTM = something like an orgasm

Rich interviews Celia! I haven't even watched it yet because I'm saving it for a future time in my life when I'm truly in need of the entertainment satisfaction I know it will provide.

Celia unfair to Tahlia, says Tyra

Rich's ANTM recap is up.

Martha Plimpton lookalike Celia made ANTM history for doing something no girl has ever done before.

She shouldn't oughta have done it.

She'll be going home this week, I betcha.

Isis booted off of America's Next Top Model

And not a minute too soon.

Being the first transgendered person allowed to compete on 'America's Next Top Model' garnered Isis, and the show's creator Tyra Banks, lots and lots of publicity.

Unfortunately in all of the hoopla, what got lost was the fact that Isis wasn't very pretty - or even interesting looking. And that's kind of a prerequisite for being a model.

Did that sound bitchy?

90210 sucks

If Rich says it, it's so.

I couldn't bring myself to watch.

I will, however, be glued to the TV screen tonight for the two-hour premiere of 'America's Next Top Model' and will be waiting with bated breath to see what Rich has to say about that. His ANTM recaps have been the best thing about the show for the last few seasons.

Plus he's so frickin' cute.

Oh, no, they didn't! Don't get between a gay man and his ANTM

On August 14, Fox News Channel aired a crude and obnoxious segment concerning the recent announcement of America's Next Top Model's first-ever transgender contestant. Isis, who will begin appearing on the new cycle of the popular CW program when it premieres on September 3, was interviewed exclusively in the current issue of Us Weekly.

Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett and Us Weekly Editor-at-Large Ian Drew spent the segment gratuitously insulting the America's Next Top Model contestant, using dehumanizing terminology, inaccurate and inappropriate pronouns and offensive references to her anatomy.

While laughing and joking, Jarrett mocked Isis' description of herself as a woman whose "cards were dealt differently," and said, "That's an understatement!" Drew referred to recent instances of transgender visibility on reality television as "The Crying Game '08," going on to call the show "America's Next Top Tranny." Drew then said that she doesn't look any different from other contestants because "they are not exactly the most high-class group of women." Throughout the segment, Jarrett switched back and forth between male and female pronouns, and both Jarrett and Drew suggested that Isis "fooled" people by "blending in." They went on to make crude remarks about her genitalia and the pitch of her voice.

Soon after the segment aired, GLAAD contacted both Fox News Channel and Us Weekly, calling on both to apologize. Us Weekly issued the following statement: "We apologize if any group was offended by our editor's comments as it was by no means his intention." Fox News did not respond.

The segment can be viewed on YouTube.

Please contact Fox News Channel and call on them to apologize for these obnoxious, insulting and dehumanizing comments.

Um, and while you're at it, call up Tyra Banks and give her an earful for using that hideous photo of Isis on the official ANTM website. I know she can look a lot cuter than that.

ANTM: The Enrique Iglesias Video Episode

On last nights episode, Tyra taugh the girls got to make a music video with Enrique Iglesias (muy caliente) and one lucky girl was choses to have a featured part. Except it turns out the director liked two girls, Lisa (left) and Heather (right) (my personal picks for final two) and the rest of the girls were aten up by jealousy. Yes I wrote 'aten up'. The end result was pretty hot. See it here.

ANTM News: Lisa's new track is hot!

I'm serious. Give it a minute to sink in. It's grimy and low-tech and I love it. Who'da thought? One other thing; am I crazy or is that guy in the mini-dress kind of hot?

ANTM News: Bisexual Michelle

While we're on the topic of ANTM, lemme tell you about some things going on with Michelle. Michelle was edited to look like an awkward, masculine freak who nevertheless took some hotass pics on Cycle 4 of America's Next Top Model. She came out as bisexual on the show and is now knocked up with Jonny Fairplay's baby. Fairplay is known for lying about his grandmother's death on his season of Survivor and for desperately milking his 15 minutes of fame in any way possible. He got his ass kicked in a major way just a few days ago at a reality TV awards show by The Partridge Family's Danny Bonaduce. According to Michelle, the baby will be a girl. Um, congratulations?

America's Next Top Model News: Lisa D'Amato

My two favorite TV shows are, in no particular order, America's Next Top Model and The Ultimate Fighter. Both of 'em have brand, spankin' new episodes tonight so here's some ANTM news to whet your appetite for tonight's show. ANTM airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. with repeats Sunday at 8 p.m. on The CW.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 contestant Lisa D’Amato seems to be hoping to start up a music career with her new song/video Ace of Spades. Lisa was one of the best contestants ANTM has ever seen and one of the few girls the show has ever had that actually knew how to model. That said, hopefully Lisa sticks to her day job as a model because she looks better and sings worse than about 99% of the rest of the population. To paraphrase A Chorus Line, Looks: 10/Voice: 1.
