Precinct caucuses are coming!

Denver precinct caucuses will be held this year on Tuesday, March 16 at 7 p.m.

Caucuses are the grassroots, neighborhood-level start of the political process where attendees will have the opportunity to elect precinct committee people, to raise issues and vote on your party Platform, and to vote on delegates to the Denver County Assembly.

Precinct caucuses are an incredibly important part of the political process and it is incredibly important for Denver's gay community to attend and take part and, hopefully, get themselves elected as precinct committee people or delegates.

Colorado Caucus time!

The Denver Young Democrats are hosting a U.S. Senate Candidate Forum with Senator Michael Bennet and former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives Andrew Romanoff. The forum is set for Tuesday, February 16th on the Auraria campus, exactly four weeks before Democrats will gather in their neighborhoods to begin the process of nominating one of these two strong candidates for Senator. This is the only confirmed forum with both candidates between now and the Caucus.

Tuesday, February 16th is also the last day to update your voter registration in time to participate in the March 16th Caucus. If you're a new voter in Denver or have moved since you last registered to vote, please be sure to update your registration with the Denver Elections Division at 3888 E. Mexico Ave., near the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and I-25.

If you haven't participated in Caucus before, you might want to visit the Caucus Center on the Denver Young Democrats' website for a comprehensive rundown of everything you never knew you always wanted to know about Caucus. You'll find complete listings of Caucus locations by precinct, a full schedule of Caucus Trainings throughout the county, eligibility requirements and deadlines, rules, agendas, a step-by-step walk through the entire process, and much more.
