Transgender Star Gigi Gorgeous on Realizing She's a Lesbian: 'I Never Thought I'd Fall For a Girl'

After coming out as gay male in her teens and later as a transgender female, Gigi Lazzarato thought she was done coming out.

But that all changed when the YouTube sensation known as Gigi Gorgeous, 24, met model and activist Natalia “Nats” Getty, also 24, last February.

“It’s crazy how life takes you on these roads that you’d never expect,” Lazzarato says in the current issue of People of coming out as a lesbian to her 2.4 million YouTube channel subscribers in September. “I never thought I’d fall for a girl. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Before meeting Getty — who is the great-granddaughter of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty — Lazzarato dated internet personality Cory Binney.

“I was new to living life as my authentic self, so when I found someone who accepted me, I was on top of the world,” she says of her former relationship with Binney.

Now the influencer– who made international headlines last August when she released a video saying she’d been detained at a Dubai airport because she is trans — is reflecting on her transition and breakup in the new documentary This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous.

“It was difficult,” she says of watching her life story play out onscreen. “But it made me realize that now I’m on the right track. Now I feel more like myself than ever.”

Tell Congress: Don't legalize anti-LGBTQ discrimination

FADA prohibits the government from holding any business or person accountable for discriminating against LGBTQ people. Specifically, it would allow people and businesses to discriminate based on the beliefs that marriage is between one man and one woman, and sex should only happen within such a marriage.3 To be absolutely clear, what Sen. Cruz and others who support FADA are saying is that anyone who has sex outside of a heterosexual marriage deserves to be discriminated against.

This legislation isn’t just dangerous for LGBTQ people. People, businesses and institutions would be able to legally discriminate against single mothers, unmarried couples and anyone who has sex outside of marriage with the blessing of the federal government. Those discriminated against would have no avenue for recourse, should FADA pass.

Tell Congress: Hold the line on FADA and protect LGBTQ people from discrimination. Click here to sign the petition.

Teen Project Runway Designer Makes NYFW 2017 Debut

After debuting his first ever fashion line HOT ME$$ last September, Matt Sarafa is now ready to take over 2017 New York Fashion Week with his new clothing line "FAKE." Debuting on the runway on Saturday, February 11th, Matt is ready to reignite the fashion world with his new high-end, ready to wear couture line. Along with his new clothing line, "FAKE," Matt will also be showing off his new jewelry line as a part of his already successful brand "HOT ME$$."

Matt's newest designs from "FAKE" will blur the lines between ready-to-wear fashion and high end couture. The remarkably talented young designer has drawn inspiration from his time on "Project Runway Juniors," as well as his life in California. Holding true to his belief that fashion is for everyone and knows no gender, "FAKE" will continue to show Matt's talent for creating beautiful pieces of clothing that will give his wearers confidence to be who they are. Created for both men and women, "FAKE" features edgy, high-end, urban couture that will once again show how gifted Matt is when it comes to the world of fashion.

Not only is Matt debuting "FAKE" at NYFW, he will also be adding his 10 brand new jewelry pieces to his "HOT ME$$" line. His trendy new jewelry pieces will include rings, knuckle rings, necklaces, and chokers. Matt's new affordable accessories blend together his ideas of edgy jewelry, and simple chic designs.

Growing up in Manhattan Beach, California, Matt always had an artistic side and was passionate about drawing and painting since he was a child. After binge watching an entire season of "Project Runway" with his mother at the age of 7, he knew fashion was his true calling. He then learned how to hand sew from his grandmother and eventually began taking classes to perfect his technique. Growing up in the age of YouTube, Matt started his own channel which features makeup tutorials and fashion tips and advice, which is watched by thousands of budding fashionistas looking for a little help and inspiration. This caught the attention of producers for "Project Runway: Threads," which aired in 2014. A fan favorite on that show, Sarafa was a no-brainer choice for producers when the networks newest show "Project Runway Juniors" aired in October of 2015.

OUT on DVD/VOD: Akron

Akron from Wolfe Video on Vimeo.

AKRON offers a gay coming-of-age tale with a refreshing twist-none of its characters are in search of self- or familial acceptance, because they've all already achieved it. Set against the backdrop of midwest Ohio suburbia, where familial cohesion and domestic stability are cultural commodities, the film instead explores the damage that can be done by other kinds of buried secrets, and the resilience and forgiveness it takes to heal that damage.

A sensitive and nuanced film that puts a progressive, Midwestern spin on a classic family drama: Benny and Christopher, college freshmen, meet playing football and begin a relationship. They fall in love supported by their family and friends. As their love for each other grows, a past tragic connection involving their mothers comes to light, and this revelation tests their own love and Benny's close-knit family.
