Things to do in Denver when you're gay: Flappers and Pharaohs Bash

King Tut is almost here—and it's time to celebrate! Join some flappers, pharaohs, gangsters, and maybe a mummy or two for the Flappers and Pharaohs Bash on June 25. Don your finest roaring twenties, Egyptian, or cocktail attire for this celebration of Howard Carter's 1922 discovery of King Tut's tomb.
Tickets include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live music by Ain't Misbehavin, plus an opportunity to experience Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs before it opens to the public on June 29. You'll see amazing artifacts—like this ten-foot-tall quartzite statue of King Tut—and learn about the Boy King's mysterious life and death. Flappers and Pharaohs tickets are $150 for DAM members, $165 for others.
Still want more King Tut? Spring for a VIP ticket, and you can meet famed Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, secretary general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, at a special reception starting at 5:30 pm. VIP tickets are $250 per person.
