This Halloween "The Last Bar On The Left" is the Denver Wrangler. There's no cover for the Halloween hijinks and a $500 costume contest first prize.

They even made a sweet little YouTube video (above). All that's missing is a sinister voiceover.

SmokeFest Denver 2009

I got my mohawk.

I got my leather from the warehouse.

I got a bunch of cool and fun tidbits and prizes to give away.

I am so ready for SmokeFest Denver 2009.

SmokeFest is being put on my the fine fellas of Man-Upp Cigars and takes place this Saturday and Sunday at the Denver Wrangler.

They've asked yours truly to man the barber chair, wearing a leather apron, and shaving guys' heads.

Does that sound fun or what?

Man-Upp Cigars

So the Mr. Leather Colorado 2009 contest took place this Saturday at the Wrangler and it was a great time. Part of what made it so great was meeting the guys of Man-Upp Cigars and smoking my first-ever cigar.

Which was followed shortly thereafter by my second cigar.

And lots of drinks before, during, and after those cigars.
Man-Upp Cigars is owned by a couple of guys out of Golden, Colorado. They had a table with cigars for sale in the back room behind the dance floor. The table was manned by a bunch of big, sexy guys in leather.

Always a good sales tactic.

I couldn't resist going over and saying howdy and it didn't take long for the guys to talk me into a cigar even though I've never smoked so much as a cigarette in my life. We took ourselves out on the back patio for a smoke date. The cigars were selling like hotcakes and it didn't take long before there was a full-blown cigar party going on out back.


And maybe some guys were making out with other guys and stuff but I wouldn't know anything about all that. I try to avoid scandalous behavior myself.

Drink some beers with The Rocky Mountaineers

The Rocky Mountaineers Motorcycle Club is the oldest gay organization in Colorado, formed 40 years ago, when it wasn’t as cool to be gay as it is now. Join them on Sunday, October 12, from 4-8 p.m. for a beer bust at the Denver Wrangler at 17th and Logan (as if you didn’t know where the Wrangler is).

Octobearfest 2008: Bears of Olympus

I met up with some of the organizers of Octobearfest at Wrangler's Beer Bust this past Sunday and it sounds like it's gonna be a beary good time. The theme of this year’s OctoBearFest is Bears of Olympus and it takes place October 2-5 in Denver. The host hotel will be the Courtyard by Marriott in Cherry Creek. Registration for the event is $110 for non-Front Range Bears members before September 15 and $125 for everybody after September 15 so register now and check back for more details as they come!

Rendezvous 2008 - Wyoming's Pride Event
