Win a free ski trip to Crested Butte
Gunnison-Crested Butte is known for being a place you can let your hair down for a little R & R and adventure, whether you like it laidback or extreme. The locals are known for chatting it up with visitors and pointing the way to their favorite places. In keeping with this unique spirit, the Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association today launched a “Double Dog Dare You” campaign on Facebook to celebrate the 2009/10 ski season.
Become a friend at www.facebook.com/gcbta, explain in 50 words or less why you should be selected to visit Crested Butte this winter, and submit a photo of yourself enjoying a snowsport. The winner will receive three night’s lodging at The Ruby of Crested Butte bed and breakfast, four lift tickets from Crested Butte Mountain Resort ski area and a $100 gift certificate for Django’s Restaurant & Wine Bar, located at the ski base.
The campaign kicks off today and concludes on Nov. 23, 2009.
A winner will be announced on Nov. 25, 2009, the opening day of ski season at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and travel must take place before the ski season ends on April 4, 2010.

The Denver Center presents a free Halloween spooktacular
The Denver Center Theatre Academy wraps up Fall Break and the Halloween weekend with a FREE Family Fun Forum on Sunday, November 1 from 12-2pm in the Newman Center for Theatre Education at 1101 13th St.
The afternoon engages families and groups in Halloween-themed activities designed for the smallest goblin to the oldest warlock. Participants will walk the tightrope of terror, fly from a trapeze and hone their witches cackle - all the while earning tokens redeemable for prizes and treats. Costumes are encouraged - this is the theatre after all!
Supported by Target, Family Fun Forums are free but reservations are appreciated at 303.446.4892.

Tips for Guncles: Denver Rec Centers and Pools free for kids this summer
Hey guncles, gather up the nieces and nephews and get ready to have some fun. The City recently announced that Denver's pools and recreation centers are free for kids this summer thanks to a $150,000 donation from Kaiser Permanente. Gay favorites Amy Adams (Disney's 'Enchanted) and Emily Blunt ('The Devil Wears Prada') star in 'Sunshine Cleaning' about two sisters who start a crime scene clean-up service.
There's a special advance screening of the movie tonight at 7:30 p.m. at The Mayan so all you have to do is print out the ticket below (it admits two) and see 'Sunshine Cleaning' before it hits theaters.
