Instinct is once again hitting the road in search of fun, single guys to set up and set out on one of their legendary Blind Dates.
Last year, my friend Matt Kailey and I worked on several articles for Instinct's Denver Issue and had a lot of fun setting up some fun Blind Date action for Casey and Adam. Highlights included a shopping spree at Melt, free tickets to a show at Starz Film Center, dinner at Hamburger Mary's, drinks at El Potrero, and stripping lessons at Boyztown courtesy of Leo (below).
Open to all locations, if you want Instinct to try and match you up for an all-expenses paid date, then e-mail them a photo along with your name, age, city of residence, and one sentence describing your ideal guy to blinddate@instinctmag.com. Put 'Blind Date' in the subject line and get ready for the blind date of your life.

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Date First Stop: Melt
Who doesn’t want soft, smell-good skin for a romantic encounter of any kind? That’s where Melt comes in. Melt’s products are for your bath and body – and what’s sexier than a bubbly bath for two with some fun fizzy balls thrown in for good measure and a sexy-smelling lotion rubdown afterward. No, that’s not what happened on the blind date, but it’s what can happen on yours if you check out Melt at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, the number-one tourist destination in Colorado. Owned by Colorado's-own Stephen McNally (pictured above), Melt was part of the Instinct Blind Date, but is also featured as the Instinct Gay Business for September. Keep reading MHGG this week to find out more about Denver locations featured in Instinct.

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Daters, Part 1
Ever been on a blind date? Pole-dancing Colorado cutie Casey has, thanks to MHGG and Instinct magazine. Casey is one of the Instinct Blind Daters for September, and MHGG knows he had a dancin’ and drinkin’ ol’ time – after all, I was there ... taking pictures. But was it love at first site? Lust at first kiss? Or was it a complete disaster like these Instinct Blind Dates always are? Once again, MHGG isn’t telling. But you can find out in the September issue of Instinct, featuring hot Denver places and people. And come back tomorrow to find out who Casey’s blind date was. Then you can take a guess – was it the date from heaven or the night from hell?

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Date Final Stop: BoyzTown
Our Instinct Blind Daters could have danced the night away – or they could have let some other guys do it for them, like the hot dancers at BoyzTown, where their official date wrapped up. There were some heavy-duty hunks on the pole the night our daters cruised in, including superhot muscleboy Leo in the pic above, and the Adam and Casey enjoyed more drinks, more conversation, and the party atmosphere of this party bar. BoyzTown is a fun and friendly place watch dancers, check out each other, and just have a relaxing good time. This was our last stop, and the music never stopped – but did the date? Did they call it a night, or had their night just begun? The September issue of Instinct is on stands now so get your copy and find out what happened when Instinct magazine came to Denver!
Check out the photos after the jump if you want a clue as to how the date ended.

Thanks to all the great gay-owned and gay-friendly businesses that helped make our Instinct Blind Date a success
It took a lot of planning and preparation and I had to deal with a couple of flakes before settling on the two guys who eventually became the Instinct Blind Daters but it is finally over with and it was a huge success. Thanks to the daters who really put themselves out there for this. A blind date is a pretty nerve-wracking thing, let alone when it's going to be photographed and written up for a national magazine. They were great.
And I couldn't have done it without the good folks at:
Melt
Starz/Cinema Q
Hamburger Mary's
El Potrero
BoyzTown
Thanks so much!

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Date Fourth Stop: El Potrero
Another beautiful patio and the perfect place to watch the setting sun and down the perfect margarita – El Potrero, a new Mexican restaurant with GLBT flair, delicious drinks, and killer food. Appetizers and margaritas became dessert for the Instinct Blind Daters, and here’s a hint for those of you headed El Potrero’s way – get the chips and salsa appetizer with guacamole and queso dip. It’s enough to share and you won’t leave hungry. Even after a delightful dinner, our Blind Daters chowed down and drank up. And how many margaritas did they have? They couldn’t exactly remember, but, just like a certain brand of potato chip, it’s impossible to have just one. But more drinks are on the horizon – and more Instinct, too. Check back tomorrow for strippers and kissing!

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Daters, Part 2
Here's Adam. He’s the other half of Denver Blind Date featured in the September issue of Instinct. Handsome Adam started off the night friendly but kind of shy and reserved. After a couple of drinks ... well, you can see for yourself where that led. Adam and Casey (you know him, tall, blonde, really cute) had a night to remember – but was it a good memory or a bad one? These two good-looking guys had lots of time to talk and get to know each other during their date, but … If you don’t have anything in common, that can make for a very long evening. If you do, it can make for a love connection. Did the conversation soar or stall? MileHighGayGuy knows – and you will, too, in a little over a week, when Instinct hits stands in Denver.

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Date Third Stop: Hamburger Mary's
The Hamburger Mary’s patio opened just this summer and has already become one of Denver's most popular gathering places for parties, get-togethers with friends and … blind dates! Our guys made a stop here for dinner, but you don’t get to find out what they had – and if their tastes meshed – until you pick up your copy of Instinct’s September issue.
In the photo above, the boys are joined by boyish Jackie Summers, Empress 35 of the ICRME.
Check out what Jackie looks like all glammed up after the jump.

Instinct's Denver Issue: Blind Date Second Stop: Starz FilmCenter
Starz FilmCenter is a great gay venue, with Cinema Q featuring GLBT-themed movies once a month at the very least. Cinema Q is sponsored by The GLBT Community Center of Colorado (The Center) and Out Front Colorado and has great offerings for everyone. Anyone looking for a good film, including you straight people out there, should check out Cinema Q as well as the other films at Starz FilmCenter. Our Blind Daters got a gift certificate (from Denver Film Society's Keith Garcia, left) to take in a future show and pig out on refreshments. Will they go together? Only time – and Instinct magazine – will tell. Remember, Denver is the featured city for the September issue of Instinct, on stands real soon. Find out more this week on MHGG.

Congratulations to Melt
"Denver-based Melt, which has sold its trademark "handmade in Colorado" soaps and bath products since 2001, signed an agreement to open boutiques within Dillard's department stores. The first 500-square-foot-store will open in Metairie, La., in October, with more to follow nationwide, said Steve McNally, co-founder of the company"

Melt is one of the fine local gay-owned/gay-friendly businesses that I worked with for a series of articles I recently wrote for Instinct. Be sure to keep an eye out for their September issue to see who was chosen to be featured as Denver's Bachelor, Couple's Quiz, Business, and Blind Date.
Congratulations to Steve McNally and everyone at Melt.
