The MDNA Tour extravaganza was the most successful single tour of 2012 and was launched in conjunction with Madonna's MDNA album which debuted in the #1 spot in 35 countries. Presented by Live Nation Global Touring, the MDNA World Tour included 88 sold out shows in 29 countries. Madonna and her ten member band lead by musical director Kevin Antunes and troupe of 27 dancers performed a wild two hour spectacle which included state of the art visuals and sound, hundreds of costume changes that fascinated, enthralled and entertained over 2.2 million fans. “I left my heart on that stage every night,” commented Madonna who personally spent six months editing the footage to perfection for the DVD release in order for fans to have a total in concert experience in their own homes.

“My show is a journey.. the journey of a soul from darkness to light. It is part cinematic musical theatre, part spectacle and sometimes intimate performance art. I know people can relate to it. It’s very important to me as an artist that my show not be taken out of context. It must be watched with an open heart from beginning to end. I am sure if it is viewed this way, the viewer will walk away feeling inspired, invigorated and will want to make the world a better place. And this of course is my intention,” commented Madonna in a tour manifesto she released to her fans around the globe.

Madonna sez, My children go with me!

Madonna tweeted to Perez Hilton that a story about her dropping her kids off with their father, Guy Ritchie, for the summer was "rubbish"

Not that there would be anything wrong with that, matter of fact, there's a lot that's right with that scenario but apparantly Madonna says, "they go where I go."

Madonna banned from YouTube

Madonna's been banned from YouTube but not for the reasons she used to get banned from things back in the old days like being too sexy or too blasphemous.

Her record company just couldn't reach an agreement with YouTube.

That means no more of Warner Music Groups acts will be officially allowed on the site for the time being, including Bjork, Phish, and AC/DC.

Madonna's only 5 feet tall?

This article on Examiner.com about Hollywood's shortest celebrities says that Madonna is only 5 feet tall.

That can't be right.

Can it?

I'm not a big Madonna fan but I feel like I would know it if she was only 5 feet tall.

I do know she'll be in Denver on Nov. 11 and I bet every gay man I've ever met will be there.

Madonna divorcing Guy Ritchie

After nearly eight years of marriage, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have decided to call it quits.

Read all about it in The Sun.

According to sources, Guy is "sick of his career taking a backseat to hers."

Hmm, perhaps he should have married Stacey Q instead.

Madonna falls down

She plays it off expertly, however, and keeps on doing her thing. That's why she's a star. Check out the video at OMGBlog.

That reminds me, she's coming to Denver, right? I did a whole series of posts about that back over on the Denver PrideFest Blog this summer and then just forgot all about it.

Time to revisit the Madonna coverage!

In response to my call for nominations for favorite Madonna videos in honor of Madge's upcoming Denver concert I got this message from Mike, "I like the one where she's all slutty and prances around in skimpy outfits."

Of course I asked him to clarify and he narrowed it down to 'Like a Prayer' even though he doesn't 'get the religious undertones.'

That's because subtlety has always been Madonna's forte.

Check out more Madonna after the jump.

This one's for Sonny. Some boys kiss him, some boys hug him.

Todders says that this is Madonna's "best song and best video ever!":
