Should condoms be required at porn shoots?

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation held a press conference recently to say that the Los Angeles County Health Department should require the use of condoms during the filming of adult movies in light of a spate of HIV infections of mostly-straight pornstars.

What do you think?

Utah Transit Authority is now the Porn Police

The Utah Transit Authority has an ordinance that makes viewing "porn" while using their free Wi-Fi illegal and leaves people found guilty of this crime subject to fines of hundreds of dollars.

According to this article in XBIZ (site NSFW)"enforcement would be done by a transit police officer, who would issue the citation on the spot."

So what counts as porn and what doesn't?

Can you get busted for watching a movie that shows two men kissing? What about looking at an online underwear catalog?

Are these transit police officers going to be able to sieze your computer or make you show them what you're watching/doing on your own computer?

Creepy.

Badpuppy.com: Helping to protect kids from online porn

The pioneer Gay adult website, Badpuppy (site NSFW) has taken on the task of getting the word out about the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) to both the adult industry and their consumer reach, by promoting ASACP and all of their efforts, across a multitude of their internet properties.

“After speaking with ASACP CEO Joan Irvine at the Phoenix Forum, we decided that we wanted to do all that we could, above and beyond a company or member sponsorship, in which to show support for ASACP,” stated Lisa Turner, long time Marketing / Advertising / Affiliate Manager for Badpuppy. “Their mission is so very important in not only protecting the children, but protecting our rights in the industry and the consumer rights to enjoy the adult content they rightfully enjoy.”

Turner added, “We decided that between the Webmaster traffic and Consumer traffic that Badpuppy has immediate access to, that we could promote them, their cause, and valiant efforts to all who visit the sites that we own. We do this in hopes of educating webmasters who may not be familiar with ASACP and what it means to support them, as well as sharing that same education with the consumers who frequent our sites, showing them what their support and donations can accomplish. Badpuppy would like to take this opportunity to request that everyone in the adult industry show their support for ASACP, in one capacity or another; by donations, membership, sponsorship and/or by educating webmasters and consumer traffic, as to just who ASACP is and what they and their continued efforts mean to all of the Adult Industry, whether they own a website or not.”

“Even small donations can help ASACP to run its child pornography reporting hotline and provide the Restricted to Adults – RTA Website Label which protects children from being exposed to age-inappropriate material while protecting the rights to enjoy adult entertainment,” stated ASACP CEO Joan Irvine.

Irvine added, “As with other companies, today’s economy is having a negative impact on contributions to ASACP. So we’ve been looking for additional revenue sources, but because ASACP is mainly funded by the adult industry, the sources are limited. Companies/people are always asking what they can do to help support the ASACP child protection mission, in addition to becoming a sponsor or member. But few have taken it to heart as Lisa Turner at Badpuppy. Badpuppy has created a comprehensive program that uses almost every one of their properties to spread the word about the ASACP’s child protection effort, educate their webmasters, and request contribution from their members. ASACP is incredibly grateful to Badpuppy for their support.”

This is just the beginning, as Badpuppy plans on looking at other creative ways to market ASACP and their RTA website label.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online. More information is available at www.asacp.org.

Porn + Cartoons = Pirate's Booty

Adult Source Media has announced the release of 'Pirate’s Booty' (cute name) – the adult industry’s first full-length fantasy-based gay CGI movie - on May 12.

An hour-long extravaganze 'Pirate’s Booty' features the most realistic looking characters short of live actors. 'Pirate’s Booty' brings the legend of Jack Swallows as he and his crew set sail on harsh seas and encounter rough, dirty, hardcore sex along the way. Helping the crew to unload their inner ‘plunderer’ is a possessed spirit who has sex with absolutely everyone on the ship.

“I believe that our gay audience more than most appreciate what they sexually desire, or just fantasies in general, the unattainable in a sense,” says Wendy Crawford. “Who better to make a full fantasy based adult CGI movie for. We have now bridged the gap between the gay market and animated market. Fans of our gay titles have asked and 'Pirate’s Booty' delivers.”

She also said, "The great gift about CGI characters is we can make them flawless, and they don’t care if they're a top or a bottom, they can switch roles at any time. They don’t even have to wear a condom! We have some great characters.”

The site, www.piratesbootyxxx.com, has an extensive image gallery for those who want to get a sneak peak at the action and will be updated with new images and trailers often. After the movie’s premiere and release, fans will be able to view the movie from the website as well.

So what do you think? Hot or not?

You'll never guess who's into porn (maybe you will)

I knew it! The most conservative states are the biggest porn hogs, with Utah (no gay marriage for you, even if you don't live in our state) being the biggest consumer. I love this part the best:

"States where a majority of residents agreed with the statement "I have old-fashioned values about family and marriage," bought 3.6 more subscriptions per thousand people than states where a majority disagreed. A similar difference emerged for the statement "AIDS might be God's punishment for immoral sexual behavior."

I wonder how much of that porn is gay porn? That's another study I'd like to see--especially from Utah.

Have you heard of Yappo.com?

I haven't had a chance to check it out for myself yet but I'm passing the information along to you anyway. Peruse for your pleasure at your leisure.

Yappo.com has re-branded and re-designed their Gay VOD product, changing the appearance of the site and dropping the “Gay” title from the moniker.

“Gay Yappo and Straight Yappo are one entity. They share one database and as such, we thought that specifying the difference in the name was an irrelevant and antiquated approach.” according to Liam Colins, Product Manager for Yappo.com.

The name change comes with a new look for the site. “We went with a very masculine feel. The goal was to offer some differentiation and contrast, while staying within the Yappo brand appearance.”

“This is the first of many new advances, both technological and functional, that we are planning in the next couple of months.” Liam continued. “We want Yappo to be the new face of Video on Demand, and are working closely with studios, webmasters and our various partners to establish a new standard.”

Yappo.com is among the fastest growing VOD programs today and currently offers more than 48,000 titles from 1,000 studios.
